Graduates

Every year, Cathy-Lea graduates are accepted into full-time performing arts courses.  We currently have graduates training at the Australian Ballet School, the Victorian College of the Arts, the Ministry of Dance, Melbourne City Ballet, Patrick Studios Australia, Kelly Aykers Studios, Spectrum Dance, Transit Dance  and Collarts University.  Several of our graduates also pursue careers in performing arts education with some owning their own studios and working in schools.

Julie Wotherspoon

Julie trained at Cathy-Lea, completing exams to top levels in Classical Ballet, Tap and Jazz.
She completed VCE Dance with Cathy-Lea and was selected for Top Acts for her outstanding dance performance pieces.
​Julie gained a Bachelor of Education majoring in dance, and taught at Berwick Secondary College and Caulfield Grammar School.
​She has been an assessor of  VCE Dance for many years.

Dance

Cathy-Lea offers "The Works" in Dance styles including Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Commercial and Acrobatics for Elite and Recreational students...

Music & Drama

Group classes in Drama, Musical Theatre, Singing  as well as individual tuition in Piano, Drums, Guitar and Voice are offered by specialist Music and Drama teachers...

Pre-School

Our "Little Stars" Pre-School program is a 3-step curriculum for 2-5 year olds developed by qualified early childhood educators, dance teachers and an educational psychologist...
