elite training programExtension classes are run for talented and dedicated students who wish to train for careers in performing arts and gain performance experience.
The Cathy-Lea Elite Training Program has been preparing students for careers in performing arts for 3 decades. Students undertake a specialised Dance conditioning program as well as advanced technical training in a broad range of performance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Commercial Jazz, Acrobatics and Musical Theatre. Students learn troupe routines and have opportunities to perform at eisteddfods, concerts, community events and cabarets. Suitably skilled students may also learn solos and duos for eisteddfods. Our students have an outstanding reputation for technical and performance skill, and win many awards and scholarships each year. We don't just teach skills though, we educate our young performers holistically, teaching them principles and values that will hold them in good stead for the rest of their lives. Students who progress to work in the industry are praised for their respectful manner, strong work ethic, professionalism and their humble demeanour.
