DramaDrama classes develop imagination, expression and social skills through games, role play and performance work.
Junior Drama is a great starting point for building children's confidence, creativity and ability to work with others. Skills are taught in a 'fun', social context. Older students use improvisation, role play and scripts to develop characters and scenes. They learn about acting techniques and how dramatic elements can enhance performance work. Students perform regularly in both informal and theatrical settings including soirees, demonstrations, concerts and productions. Students can take part in musical productions with the production class. Annual whole school productions are held at the Drum Theatre in Dandenong and are of an exceptional standard. As Cathy-Lea has a Masters degree in Arts education, extensive performance experience, and decades of teaching Drama in schools, the Cathy-Lea Drama program is informed by educational practice and an understanding of professional theatre. Cathy-Lea Studios run an agency for aspiring performers, seeking out television, theatre and film opportunities for our students. You can be assured that Cathy-Lea Studios are experts in Drama training and can help your young star on their journey to develop confidence, and become capable young actors. |
