Malia has been dancing for 13 years, training across a wide range of styles including Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary and Musical Theatre. She has completed Ballet examinations and is currently undertaking her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management after having completed her Certificate II and III in Dance and VCE VET Dance at Cathy-Lea Studios.
Malia has performed in numerous solos, duos and troupes, achieving success in competitions in lyrical, contemporary, ballet, jazz and musical theatre. She has also appeared in a number of stage musicals, with notable roles including Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast and Larry in A Chorus Line. Beyond the stage, Malia has performed in Masters of Choreography: Oncology and featured in acting roles for productions on both Stan and Netflix. Alongside her passion for performing, Malia is studying a double degree in Psychology and Secondary Education at Monash University and works at a high school during the week. She is excited to share her love of dance and performance with the next generation of students at the studio. |
