Every year, Cathy-Lea graduates are accepted into full-time performing arts courses. We currently have graduates training at the Australian Ballet School, the Victorian College of the Arts, the Ministry of Dance, Melbourne City Ballet, Patrick Studios Australia, Kelly Aykers Studios, Spectrum Dance, Transit Dance and Collarts University. Several of our graduates also pursue careers in performing arts education with some owning their own studios and working in schools.
Tristan began dancing at age 6. He initially took boys' only classes at Cathy-Lea before joining the Elite Training Program and performing in Cathy-Lea troupes at eisteddfods and public events.
He attended Beaconhills College where he was recognized with a Performing Arts award in grade 6.
In 2006 he was a dancer in the Closing Ceremony of the Commonweath Games in Melbourne.
He was selected for the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) on from year 7.
He completed a Certificate IV in Dance at Dance World studios before deciding his passion was Classical Dance . Tristan trained with Beverley Fry at The National Theatre Ballet School with 3 years.
In 2014 received his Advanced Diploma in Elite Performance in Classical Ballet and in 2015 did a post graduate year consolidating his performance skills. He performed lead rolls in Giselle, The Nutcracker, La Syphide and Cinderella.
Tristan now performs professionally with the West Australian Ballet Company
