Isabel started her training at Cathy-Lea Dance Works when she was two years old and trained in the Elite Training Program from the age of 6. She completed all her Cecchetti Ballet examinations to Advanced level with top Honours as well as ATOD examinations to Advanced level in Jazz and Tap with outstanding results.
As well as dancing in many Cathy-Lea troupes, Izzy was an awarded soloist, winning aggregate awards at many eisteddfods and placing in several ATOD state and national scholarships. She was awarded a Performing Arts Scholarship to Beaconhills College to complete her secondary education. Izzy appeared in ‘Billy Elliot the Musical: 10th Anniversary Tour’ in 2019-2020. During the run in Sydney the cast performed and was joined onstage by Elton John. The show toured to Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne before being forced to close due to COVID-19. Izzy showed a passion for teaching from a young age and was a trained as a teacher under the guidance of Cathy for several years. Izzy is excited to be teaching classes at Cathy-Lea in 2021 and contributing back into the school that gave her so much. |
