Susan Weir (Singing)

Susan Weir (Cert IV in Music Performance) has trained in modern singing at Jaanz School of Singing and with Andrea Marr and Bill Bamford. She has also attended the Estill voice training system levels one & two course compulsory figures for voice control and voice qualities. Susan has taught contemporary singing at Cathy-Lea since 2001.

Carolyn Ebdon (Piano)

Carolyn Ebdon (Assoc. Trinity College London, Cert Education) currently works at Beacoonhills College. She is qualified with the Trinity College London and particularly enjoys teaching piano to junior students. She is also a teacher of Speech and Drama.

Aaron Philp (Guitar)

Aaron has an Advanced Diploma in music performance (jazz & contemporary) and is currently doing his bachelor in Music Industry. Aaron started playing guitar in Tasmania and has performed all over it's major cities. Since moving to Melbourne in 2006, Aaron has studied under the likes of Jack Pantazis, Lucas Michailidis and Simon Edwards. Aaron also plays in two bands which performed in Adelaide, Sydney and all over Melbourne.

Jess Gross (Group Singing)

Jessica is an accomplished singer and musician having completed examinations in Voice, Piano and Music Theory with AMEB and ANZCA, as well as VCE studies in Music.She started her training with Berwick Youth Choir at the age of 6, and was selected for Gondwana Voices, a national youth choir, for 5 consecutive years.  Jessica has had private singing training for 7 years, and also studied clarinet, saxophone and guitar. Jessica has sung at many events with choirs and as a soloist including a performance at the Opera House for international political leaders, and a performance for the Pope!  Jessica performed the role of Jemima in The Windmill Theatre Companys production of Cats in 2008.She has had lead roles in Cathy-Lea productions including the role of Pinocchio in The Little Puppet, Hans Christian Anderson in Tiny Thumbelina and Snow White last years major production.  Jessica is excited to be joining the teaching staff at Cathy-Lea in 2010 and looks forward to passing on her musical skills and her passion for singing!
