Classical Ballet
Classes are offered in Cecchetti method classical ballet. Examinations are optional, but students are encouraged to participate in assessment as it provides supplementary feedback to the parents and students on progress, strengths and weaknesses. It has been found that students working towards examinations strive towards achieving a goal and are more motivated and purposeful in class. Junior and casual students are assessed internally. Students taking 2 classes of ballet who reach the appropriate standard are eligible to be assessed by internationally recognised examiners in the Cecchetti syllabus. Classical ballet is recommended as the essential foundation to any course of dance study.
