At Cathy-Lea we pride ourselves on our sense of community and excellent learning environment. Here are just a few comments from our parent and students:

"Dear Cathy,
Our very shy and nervous 8 year old boy started Jazz and Tap at Cathy-Lea. We were worried as his sister was so confident and always achieving. After only 6 months he gained the confidence and made the most wonderful life long friends. Our shy boy sang solos, danced solos but most of all learnt so much to work as at team, to care and look out for others. He learnt to be responsible, this will be with him always.
This boy now catches the 6:30 train every morning, dances for half a day, studies for half a day comes home at 7 o'clock at night. He still looks up to his big sister but has all the confidence he needs. Without Cathy-Lea both our children would not be where they are today and we willl always be thankful."

(Jamie now studies Dance at the Victorian College of the Arts. His sister is studying Primary School Teaching at university and teaching part-time at Cathy-Lea as a qualified dance teacher.)

"Hi Cathy/GirlsI have been meaning to let you know that Jade achieved 2nd place in the Fairhills High School Interschool Dance Contest. This was judged using her own choreography, presentation etc. Jade had to audition within her own school first as there were only 2 places for each section. Jade was very brave for her solo, overcoming her pre-show nerves to give an energetic, entertaining performance we were all proud of.

I would just like to thank-you for your tireless efforts in offering a disciplined program, which with the results above, prove our kids bring a lot away from their dance classes & performances, including the self-esteem to be able to get up and have a go and the knowledge to be able to do it with confidence."

"What I like about Cathy-Lea is that it is a friendly, safe environment, yet it is very professional. They teach your child proper technique, etiquette and theatre experiences, as well as loyalty and respect to become a great dancer and to take with them for life. The experience here has given my child a secondary college scholarship, Honours in exams and many other great achievements. We've been here for 12 years which says it all. We're proud to be part of the Cathy-Lea community."

Teresa K (Mum)

"Everyone here is friendly. It's a community. It's like a family. I've made life-long friends."

Kelly Mc (student 22)

"The classes are great! There is a good variety of dance styles - even Acrobatics, Drama and Singing! The teachers are professional and there are plenty of opportunities for students to perform outside the school itself.

The highlight of the year is the end-of-year concert. It's always an amazing experience to be a part of this production.
My children's self-esteem has increased significantly since they started taking classes at Cathy-Lea. Their social skills have also improved.

Thank-you Cathy!"

"What I like is the professionalism that the school provides. It is very disciplined which is fantastic. The children and the parents respect this.
The most memorable experiences are the end of year performances and the Presentation Days.
My children have gained more confidence and love being around a friendly bunch of people that are willing to help you if needed. Overall Cathy you have a wonderful and successful school. Keep up the fantastic job!"

"I love coming to Cathy-Lea and dancing. I learn loads and have a super time with my friends. Cathy always teaches us to pass well in our exams and how to perform and we always have an awesome time in class and out."

Jess (student age 14)

"Dear Cathy,

I am writing to you to thank you for the wonderful environment that you provide for my children. Not only is it a friendly and happy place for the children, it is a place that teaches children not only to dance but also how to be performers.

As you are aware, Cyndi has been to other dance schools in the past, and although they were good in their own individual way, they cannot compare to the experiences that you provide her and now my son Josh.
The children don't just dance in an end of year concert; they perform in an end of year show. That leaves the audience breathless and brings tears of joy as parents are left amazed at what their child has achieved. This is the way I feel and I am sure I am not alone in feeling this way.

My children are becoming more confident and eager to learn new things. I am happy and proud that my children are part of such a wonderful community and that they are both becoming wonderful performers and doing well and loving their lessons.

Kind Regards from a very proud mum"
