Darcey began her dance journey at the age of eight and became a member of the Cathy-Lea elite training program a year later. She is trained in a range of dance styles including Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Commercial and Hip-Hop. She has completed dance exams for many years from the Cecchetti Ballet and ATOD Jazz and Tap syllabi, receiving top marks in all styles. She has also completed VCE Dance.
She has performed in acting, singing and dancing lead roles in musical productions, cabarets, the Berwick Show and at Cathy-Lea concerts. She danced at the Monash Gala Ball at Crown Casino and Together We Dance fundraiser event. Darcey performed in UDO Hip Hop competition qualifying for international finals in this event.
Darcey was selected as a demonstrator the filming of ATOD Jazz syllabus which is used as teaching resource for ATOD teachers.
Darcey has been an assistant teacher at Cathy-Lea and is excited to be taking her own classes in 2021 and sharing her passion for dance with the next generation of young performers.
