Cathy-Lea is proud of its outstanding teaching faculty, all of whom are highly qualified teachers and performance professionals. Cathy-Lea staff practice SafeDance and are registered with various professional associations including AusDance, Cecchetti International Classical Ballet, the Australian Teachers of Dancing and the Southern Federation of Dance.
Ainsley Butler
Ainsley danced at Cathy-Lea from the age of 5 where she was trained in Classical Ballet, Jazz and Tap. She completed VCE Dance with top marks and was selected to perform at the VCE Showcase “Top Acts”.
After completing 2 years’ training at the Ministry of Dance, she has become a professional commercial dancer and has performed with Boss Dance Company and Tenacity Dance crew. In 2015 she performed with Tenacity to win the UDO World Championships in Glasgow. Her credits include The Australian Open Tennis competition, Fast4Tennis, Emirates Melbourne Cup Entertainment, Miss Crown Asia Beauty Pageant, Masters of Choreography “Once Upon a Time” and “Nightmare on Dance Street,” “Alpha” (Boss dance Co), freestyling at Dance Machine Nightclub, “Big Day Scout” (Myer music Bowl), Underground Winter – The Hi Fi, RAW: Natural Born Artists and Short and Sweet Dance Festival (Chapel off Chapel). She has performed at many corporate events including the Motor Neurone Disease Gala (National Gallery of Victoria), Biz Collection, Camp Quality Gala, Ovarian Cancer Research Ball, 100th anniversary of note-printing (Regent Theatre), International on Brighton luncheon and V8 Super Saturday. Ainsley holds a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management, a Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) and Certificate IV in Dance. |
